MISSION STATEMENT

OUR PURPOSE AND GOALS

OUR PURPOSE – We promote a culture of wellness and enhance the quality of life for all Tribal Nations and Communities.

OUR GOALS – Maize Native Collective follows the council of Clan Mothers who represent the interconnected sovereignty of our efforts. The work of Maize Native Collective will focus on the following:

To build the capacity of indigenous nations and members to live healthy and engage in Indigenous communal civic activities.

To establish a council and decision-making body that is reflective of our Indigenous governance and matrilineal structures.

To protect and promote Indigenous sovereignty, practicing and perpetuation and reconstitution of Indigenous healing arts and culture. Healing via ceremonies, traditional practices and intergenerational gatherings.

To advocate for the equitable resources distribution and programs that support the Indigenous community of Central California and beyond.

• To Serve & Unite Indigenous People
• Work with Native Organizations
